Maia padded along the worn path, searching for shelter from the hot, midday sun, but she had no luck. The young fea layed down panting in the heat. Starved, dry and boiling, she felt close to death. The lion's paws were light as they touched the ground. His large frame was visible only close up. His mane being carressed by the wind, his eyes gazed around him. They finally landed 'pon a figure not far from him. He approached the figure. He realized it was a lioness when he was close enough. Elessar watched the lioness for a moment before calmly sliding down to lay on his stomach. He didn't want her to be afraid of him; he wasn't like that. He wondered why she was, but maybe she was uncomfortable around all males. Was it part of her history?
